My mother's families live in Cirebon, that is why I know this city a lot! I always go to Cirebon at least once a year. Now I will give you some information about food in there!

1. Sega Jamblang / Nasi Jamblang / Jamblang Rice
"Jamblang" comes from the name of the region in the west city of Cirebon. This food is using teak as pack of rice leaves.

You can choose the dish by your self. there is so many option served via buffet. The menus are usually available with chili, tofu, beef, chicken, egg, etc.

3. Empal Gentong

Empal gentong is a beef curry soup with coconut milk. This soup usually cooked with firewood stove in gentong (Javanese for: clay pot). The ingredients are parts of beef meat, intestine, tripes, lungs, etc. You can also order satay to eat with it.

Most of people said the best one is in Kanoman, but I think, no matter where is the location, the taste is quite similar.

6. Mie Petruk
Believe me! This noodle is really goooooood! but you better come to this place earlier. Categorize as food truck or food street, this noodle was always crowded. Last time I went here, I must wait more than 2 hours! I queued and got number 16. Everyone will not only buy one. I also buy 10 at that time.. The reason why he cooked so long, because he used charcoal to cook the noodle. phew! Worth a try!
