[Hong Kong] Four Season Claypot Rice 四季煲仔飯, Yau Ma Tei

Claypot Rice is one of authentic food from Hong Kong. You can find it in Yau Ma Tei Subway Station Exit C, near temple street. There are lots of Claypot Rice restaurant.

The famous one is ..... Four Season Claypot Rice (四季煲仔飯)

The location is behind MTR Exit C. So you must U-turn when you exit from Yau Ma Tei. My hongkong friend invited me to eat in this restaurant.
So, We ordered Chinese Sausage and Chicken Rice, and my friend suggested to order oyster omelette (蠔餅).

The price is reasonable compare with others HK restaurant.

We queued for around 30 minutes, and we ordered when we queued. So when we came to the restaurant, our meal was ready. (Notes, because to make one claypot, it needs more than 15 mins. So if you want to eat Claypot Rice without queue, you still need time to wait until that claypot is ready)

Now my review about these foods:
1. Oyster omelette (蠔餅).
It was so oily. Even they gave us with paper, it was still too much oil. Average in taste.

2. Chinese sausage and chicken rice
to eat this kind of food, first you must put the chicken and sausage in the empty bowl, put the black sauce into the rice, stir mix it together (do not stir too deep, because it is dry underneath), after finished, put back the chicken and sausage.
Because I shared the meal with my friend, we must also share the sausage. and.... it was so so so so hard to cut the sausage, It looked like the quality of sausage was not good, too dry, and blah!

3. Water spinach

My recommend to you:
1. Do not order the sausage
2. You can change the omelette with soup, I saw the other table order soup and looked so good.
3. You can come earlier (HK time for dinner is around 7, so you can come at 5 or earlier, but it is open at 4.30)
4. According to me, the taste was not worth waiting in long queue.
